Last term, Year 6 pupils have been learning about discipleship and what it means to be a disciple in today’s society. As part of their lessons, they learned about Pope Francis and decided he was such an inspiration to others, that they wanted to write letters to tell him and thank him.
The children have been very surprised to have hear back from him and they were delighted to receive and open their letters. In the letters, Pope Francis thanked them for the writing to him and praying for him; his Holiness wrote that he will pray for all the children and their families and he sent them a blessing!
Well done to our Year 6 pupils, who wrote such wonderful letters and showed fantastic understanding of the topic.
