On Friday night, some of our Year 3 students and some very special helpers embarked on an unforgettable camping adventure on the Head’s Lawn. The evening was packed with exciting activities that kept everyone entertained.
The fun began with an orienteering session led by Mrs. Newsam, where the children learned navigation skills and explored the grounds. As the sun set, they gathered around for campfire songs with Mrs. Bray.
The night continued with delicious treats. Miss Mann helped the students toast marshmallows, which they enjoyed with cups of hot chocolate. The cosy evening was topped off with enchanting bedtime stories read by Mr. Jones, creating a perfect end to the night’s festivities.
As the night grew darker, the children snuggled into their sleeping bags inside bell tents generously provided by Wilderness Expertise. A huge thank you to them for lending us these fantastic tents free of charge!
For many of the students, this Year 3 camp out was their first experience sleeping under the stars, making it a memorable night filled with laughter, learning, and new experiences. Everyone had a fantastic time and left with cherished memories of their camping adventure.
