I joined St Joseph’s College in July 2018, previously working as the Facilities Manager at a SEN School for children with Moderate and Profound learning disabilities. I moved into Facilities Management in Education, following a long (32 years!) career at Marks and Spencer latterly working in Business Change Project Management. Since my career change in 2015, I have continued my professional development and attained a Certificate in School Business Management Site Operational Management brings many challenges and opportunities and I am thoroughly enjoying my time here at St Joseph’s College. The College has a lovely community ethos amongst both staff and students and it is great to be part of it.
Originally from Sheffield, I have now lived in Reading for 10 years with my husband and 2 children. My colleagues tell me I still have a strong Northern accent but I am sure it has faded after all this time away! Outside of my working life, I enjoy travelling (well relaxing on a beach somewhere with a book), cooking (because no one else in my house does!), entertaining and spending quality time with my family and friends (This is just a cover for ‘I like to have fun!’).
