I have been working in education and the art sector since graduating in 2006, developing a career and undertaking professional training. I followed up my higher education with an MA in 2011 and hold QTLS status and a PGCE.
The way in which we learn, and how experiences shape the way we view the world, has always fascinated me. This is why I believe it is so important that those given the responsibility to educate, honour the task. I still hold great memories of my own art and design education and the impact that tutors had on me personally.
I am a practising artist with a successful track record of exhibitions most notably to the Saatchi Gallery which bought up the whole of my show. Having lectured at foundation, further and higher education level, I am well placed to prepare students for either a career in art or design or to go on to higher education. As a practising artist with portfolio preparation and exhibition experience, I am able to offer students practical advice on aspects of managing their own creative education, thereby enhancing their more theoretical studies.
For me, the students come first and I believe that inspiration and motivation lie at the heart of all great teaching and I love to share my passion for Art.
