After completing a BMus in Music from the University of Westminster and MA from Goldsmiths, University of London, I worked as a studio and concert musician in London.
Alongside performing, I worked as a television composer for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. While I enjoyed my time in industry, teaching had always been close to my heart ever since I gave my first guitar lesson as a teenager.
After four years working in London, I studied a PGCE at Homerton College, University of Cambridge and entered the world of education – and never looked back. After working as a teacher of music in a comprehensive secondary school in Cambridgeshire, I joined the international sector as Director of Music at Dulwich College in China.
After five fantastic years abroad, I am thrilled to be back in the UK and begin my journey in educational leadership at St Joseph’s College as Assistant Head of Enrichment & Extension. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my young family, cooking and enduring the eternal emotional rollercoaster of being a Welsh rugby fanatic.
