Sports Day returned in full swing this year as we welcomed back parents and spectators. The excitement and anticipation had been building around College leading up to the big event.
Staff and students from Years 3 to 12 raced along to Palmer Park Stadium to compete for the title of winning house. Dixon had been victorious for the last two years and were looking to make it three while the other houses were determined to end their winning streak and knock them off the top spot.
The sun shone on and off and the weather held as Junior and Senior pupils competed with great effort and enthusiasm for their houses. It really was fantastic to see such talented and determined performances across the year groups. We would like to mention the following pupils who broke a school record in their event:
Year 9 Javelin – Ted P
Year 10 Boys 800m – Sam T
Year 10 Girls 800m – Anna C
Year 10 Boys High Jump – Ethan M
Year 10 Girls 300m – Izzy Mc
Year 10 Boys Relay – Richardson
Well done to all these pupils!
In the overall house competition it was a very close run race but there has to be a winner and this year it was……Jennings! Congratulations!
