Third time lucky, we triumphantly arrived at Path Hill! What an exhilarating day it’s been! From building sturdy dens to brave the monsoon season to adding swings for extra thrills, our adventures knew no bounds.
Teambuilding exercises challenged our leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, showcasing our strengths amongst our Year 7s. Yet, the highlight for most was gathering around the crackling fire, baking our own bread, and relishing it alongside toasted marshmallows.
Here’s what some of our Year 7s had to say:
“The Path Hill trip was really exciting because we got to make our own shelters, light our own fires and we got to make bread. We did some team building games and if we won the challenge, we could choose extra toppings for our bread. Overall Path Hill was an amazing experience.”
“Yesterday, Year 7 went to Path Hill, it was really fun and we did many activities. One of my favourite activities was one where we had to collect a box from inside a circle without stepping into the circle. Our group decided to tie a rope around 2 trees and one person climbed onto the rope to get the box out of the circle. Overall Path Hill was a fun, adventurous trip.”
“During Path Hill we played lots of team building games, which were enjoyable. We also made fresh bread and cooked it on an open fire, which we learned how to make. Lastly, we toasted marshmallows on a campfire.”
