Two very lucky students were given access to the England rugby team training last week at Pennyhill Park thanks to Grays International.
Grays, who own the Gilbert brand, offered the boys the chance to attend training the week of England’s match against Japan at Twickenham.
The boys watched England train from a vantage point above the pitch. After training, the boys stayed around to get a match ball signed by all of the squad, taking pictures with many of the squad including Eddie Jones, Maro Itoje and Ellis Genge to name just a few.
It was also an opportunity for Marcus Smith, a former pupil of Mr Wroblewski’s (Director of Developing Sport), to chat to the boys, where he shared a few words of wisdom and encouragement to them.
St Joseph’s student Ed said: “The experience has made me realise how much the England team do without any guidance, they just came out and got on with things before the coaches arrived.”
