On Friday 23 April the whole College celebrated Shakespeare Day with pupils and teachers participating in a variety of Shakespeare themed lessons and activities throughout the day. Some senior pupils participated in the Shakespeare quiz which was set up all-round the school with clues and puzzles to solve. In addition to this both Prep and Seniors enjoyed ‘insult battles’ where they used ‘Shakespearean English’ to insult the Shakespeare characters (Sixth Formers). As you can tell from the photos, Prep may have won these battles! Within lessons pupils engaged in quizzes and Lower Seniors watched and discussed Romeo and Juliet.
After lunch, Seniors enjoyed an impromptu performance from Mr Copping and Mrs Greenslade, whilst Prep had a fantastic performance of Twelfth Night courtesy of Year 6 pupils. As Shakespeare said ‘Parting is such a sweet sorrow’, until next year!
