Year 6 pupils have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Bishop, Bishop Phillip Egan and His Holiness Pope Francis in their unit of work titled Revelation in their Religious Education lessons. Within these lessons, they learnt how His Holiness Pope Francis is a living apostle of Jesus Christ and were in complete admiration when learning about the vast amount of effort he places on serving his people. They mentioned they left these lessons feeling inspired and collectively decided to write a letter to thank His Holiness Pope Francis for all his work within and beyond the Catholic Church. Well done to our Year 6 pupils, showing fantastic engagement and understanding beyond their lessons.
To their upmost excitement upon their return to school after Easter, they were delighted to find a response to their letter in which His Holiness Pope Francis thanked them for their prayers and gave them his blessing. What a fantastic outcome for our Year 6 pupils – look at their reactions below.
