Our Year 6 students travelled to Calshot Activity Centre on Monday, 16 September, for a five-day adventure in Hampshire. They participated in a range of activities, including kayaking (where Mrs. Bray got soaked!), a “Coastline Catastrophe” beach hunt, team-building puzzles, and problem-solving tasks. Other exciting activities included a giant swing, archery, dry slope skiing, ringos, and even a movie night.
During the Year 6 Calshot trip, the students applied St Joseph’s 5 Cs: Confidence, Commitment, Collaboration, Compassion, and Communication. For many, this was their first time away from home, so there were mixed feelings of excitement and apprehension, therefore confidence was key.
Throughout the week, students engaged in fun, team-oriented challenges that encouraged them to work together, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills. The Year 6 Calshot trip offered a perfect blend of adventure, teamwork, and personal growth, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
