The Junior and Senior pupils competed extremely hard at the College’s Sports Day 2024 on Monday. It was fantastic to see such talented and determined performances across the year groups, including Year 12 who took part in events for the first time. As a result all Year 12 races resulted in new records.
In addition, the prep pupils threw the Vortex for the first time and all winning distances will become school records.
A special mention should go to Rio Parkinson in Year 10 who was the only pupil to break a pre-existing school record with a huge high jump of 1.71m.
A particular highlight for all in attendance was the MC-ing of Mr Jenkins who kept the energy high amongst the pupils and all in the stands on a very warm day. An even more impressive when you consider his efforts directing the Lion King performances to finish last week.
The house spirit on show from pupils and staff throughout the day was an absolute pleasure to see and all students should be proud of themselves and how they contributed to their house.
