Christmas Chess Tournament
The 2017 Christmas Chess Tournament took place in the Library from 4 to 8 December.
A total of 30 games were played by students ranging from Year 7 to Year 13.
The title of Leader Board Winner went to Ateeksh in Year 7, with a mammoth nine wins and one draw. Close behind was Toby with an impressive eight wins, while in third place was Nicholas with four wins. The top three are all from Year 7!
The exhibition ‘play off' was held on Monday, when Ateeksh took on Eda, the Sixth Former who runs the regular Chess Club. After a hard-fought game, Eda emerged as winner.
Congratulations to all concerned and thanks to all who took part in the tournament. Mrs Davidson commented, “The Library was organised chaos throughout the tournament, but it was so much fun!”
