Year 5 Fundraising

Prep Event

The Prep School is a hive of activity this morning, led by our Year 5 pupils.

The day started with a breakfast shared with the pupils' parents and carers, and was followed by a heartwarming Harvest Festival assembly with songs, readings and explanations about the work of CAFOD.

At break time the fun continued with games in the Prep Hall and a cake sale, with all money raised going to CAFOD. The children will also be bringing envelopes home for any extra contributions which you are able to make.

CAFOD's theme of "Brighten Up" is being celebrated across the Prep School today with the boys wearing vivid ties and girls wearing colourful tights in exchange for donations of food for this Harvest Festival. All of the food will be given to CIRDIC, the drop in centre for Reading's homeless.

A big thank you to Dr Bobik-Dawes and the Year 5 pupils for their hard work and enthusiasm in bringing this wonderful event together, and for everyone across the school who has supported the fundraising today.
