On Sunday 25 June, we were thrilled to welcome back 70 former pupils and staff to our annual Alumni Reunion.
The leavers, from the 1940s onwards, enjoyed the opportunity to look through the archives from their time at the school, catch up with former peers and staff, and look around the school. They were also treated to speeches from Mr Colpus, the Head Boy and Head Girl over a delicious buffet lunch and refreshments.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a lovely afternoon and for sharing the happy memories of their time at the school. One former pupil who left in 1990 commented, "We had a wonderful time. It was lovely seeing the old teachers and walking round the school. Lots of great memories. The lunch was delicious as well!"
Our Alumni Reunion is held in the afternoon of the final Sunday in June every year, and we look forward to welcoming back as many alumni as possible over the coming years.
St Joseph's has recently launched an online alumni network, which will be the way in which we intend to communicate with the majority of our alumni going forward. This is a free, safe and secure environment for all former pupils and members of staff to connect with each other and the school. Joining is quick and simple and can be done at https://alumni.sjcr.org.uk We would warmly encourage any former pupils or staff to join in order to be kept up to date regarding future events which may be of interest to them. Alternatively, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
