Judo

St Joseph’s Judo Club offers professional coaching by Alex Hutton who is an active Black Belt. Alex’s main role is within schools teaching weekly term-time lessons. Pupils are taught standing and ground techniques and can progress through a grading syllabus which takes place throughout the year with a coloured belt system.

Judo is a fun ‘sport for all’ and can be enjoyed for personal pleasure and fun, or as a contest sport. Either way it is almost unique in providing a wide range of benefits which include self-discipline, skill in co-ordination and a great way to build self-confidence.
