Trips and expeditions
Trips and expeditions are featured throughout the school year, and for every age group from Early Years to Year 13.
These allow pupils to gain knowledge outside the classroom and to experience new challenges which contribute significantly to personal development as well as adding a new dimension to academic education. Skills developed include leadership, communication, resilience, trust and respect, with many pupils returning to the classroom with renewed vigour, ready to put into practice what they have learned.
Recently pupils have been on trips including a music tour to Rome, a field trip to Iceland, adventure courses at Marwell, Hengistbury Head and Calshot, a cultural trip to New York and a variety of more local visits including museums, galleries, wildlife parks and educational seminars. A trip to Uganda is planned for next summer. There are also opportunities to take part in spiritual retreats.
